Cancellation and Refunds Policy

The Cancellation and Refund policy of the Turkish British Chamber of Commerce and Industry is described in this section. You can view below the conditions of cancellation and refund entitlements for each paid Chamber service.
For cancellations entitled to a full refund, the refund will be made within 7 working days from the notification of cancellation.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND ENTITLEMENTS

  1. MEMBERSHIP
    Turkish British Chamber of Commerce and Industry Memberships are valid for 365 calendar days (366 days in a leap year) from the date of notification by the Chamber confirming to the customer in writing that the membership status is granted.

Companies or individuals who are granted Membership status can cancel their memberships with full refund of membership fees, provided that;

– The cancellation notice is received by the Chamber within 7 calendar days of notification by the Chamber confirming membership, and
– The cancellation notice is made in writing (via email to the address info@tbcci.org), and
– Within this period of 7 days the customer does not make use of any free or discounted Member service that is available to Chamber members only

There is no full or partial refund of Membership Fees for the cancellations that have not been made according to the above terms.

Please note that membership is not transferrable. The provisions of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 are expressly excluded from these Terms Conditions such that no third party may claim any rights under these Terms and Conditions.

 

  1. DOCUMENT CERTIFICATION SERVICES

CERTIFICATION COURIER SERVICES
Customers who order Document Certification or Legalisation can cancel these services have their refund if notification of cancellation (via email to our address info@tbcci.org) is received before the original documents to be certified are received by the Chamber. In this case, only the costs incurred for the delivery of the originals back to you will be deducted from the refund amount.

  1. OTHER SERVICES

Other services, such as event tickets or other supporting services, may not refundable, considering that it usually involves a third-party service provider and their own terms and conditions. TBCCI reserves the right to refuse a full refund on such basis.

GENERAL TERMS

We will not be responsible to you for any delay or failure to comply with our obligations under these Terms and Conditions if the delay or failure arises from any cause beyond our reasonable control.

We may change these Terms and Conditions at any time. If any clause of these Terms and Conditions shall be deemed unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable, then that clause shall be deemed severable from the Terms and Conditions and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remainder of these Terms and Conditions which shall continue to have full force and effect.

If you breach these Terms and Conditions and we take no action we will still be entitled to use our rights and remedies in other situations where you are in breach. No waiver by us shall be construed as a waiver of any proceeding or succeeding breach of any clause of these Terms and Conditions.

The membership and any other TBCCI services may only be used for lawful purposes and in a lawful manner. You agree to comply with all applicable laws, statutes and regulations. Any breach of this, e.g. fraud, may result cancellation on your membership or any other TBCCI services without any refund. These Terms and Conditions are governed by English law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Document Certification Services

CERTIFICATION COURIER SERVICES
Customers who order Document Certification or Certification Courier Services can cancel these services with full refund if notification of cancellation is received before the documents to be certified are submitted to the Chamber.

Membership Directory

BUSINESS GUIDE
Customers who order Membership Directory or the Business Guide can cancel these orders with full refund if notification of cancellation is received before these products are posted, or faxed, or emailed to the customer.

Web Page Advertisement

BUSINESS PARTNER ENQUIRY
JOB APPLICATIONS
Customers who order a Web Page Advertisement, or a Business Partner Enquiry, or a Job Application from the Chamber web site can cancel these orders with full refund if notification of cancellation is received before these services are displayed on the Chamber web site.

COMPANY REPORTS (This an outsourced service)
Once the customer makes an order for a Company Report, there is no refund for cancellation of Company Reports orders.
