TURKISH HEALTH MINISTER PROF. DR. RECEP AKDAĞ’s PRESENTATION 13 Nov
Prof. Dr. Recep Akdağ, Minister of Health Turkey was the guest speaker at the TBCCI business briefing on November 13, 2007. The Minister said that the 70 000 bed capacity needed for Turkish hospitals would be provided with the Public Private Partnership model used in the UK, and for further improvements in the health services, administrative barriers would be reduced. He added that irrespective of the rehabilitation progresses in health services, increase in the number of doctors was a paramount issue. The minister met his counterpart UK Health Minister Alan Johnson.
