TURKISH ECONOMY MINISTER MEHMET SIMSEK’s PRESENTATIONS
Mehmet Simsek, Turkish State Minister for Economy, gave a speech at a meeting hosted by the Turkish British Chamber of Commerce and Industry on 14 November 2007 at Sofra Restaurant, Covent Garden, courtesy of Sofra. The Minister said there has been a great transformation in Turkey during the last five years, with reforms in several areas including economy, social security, Turkey had becoming more resilient to internal and external shocks, he stated. He added that the Turkish government aimed to further national income, prosperity and reduce inflation, and that they were working on a new privatisation program.
