VAT-registered businesses are reminded to take notice of the forthcoming changes to the rules on filing returns.
TAX Deadlines
TAX calendar applicable in December 2009 and January 2010 including the end of 15% for standard VAT rate; returning to 17.5% from 1 January 2010

PRE-BUDGET REPORT 2009
The Pre-Budget Report (PBR) 2009 is one of two wide-ranging economic reports presented to Parliament by the Chancellor each year. In spring the Chancellor presents his annual Budget statement, which includes a detailed assessment of the state of the economy and the nation’s finances. In his statement, the Chancellor may announce changes to taxes and new spending measures. The Chancellor Alistair Darling delivered his Pre-Budget Report 2009 to the House of Commons on Wednesday, 9 December.
