We are very pleased to announce that The Lord Mayor of Westminster Councillor Louise Hyams and Dr. Candan Karlitekin, Turkish Airlines’ Chairman of the Board and Chairman of the Executive Committee will be the Guest Speakers at the TBCCI Annual Ball.

The Lord Mayor of Westminster Councillor Louise Hyams The Lord Mayor of Westminster Councillor Louise Hyams has represented St James’s Ward of Westminster City Council for ten years. Before moving to central London she lived in Woodford Green and was a member of Redbridge Council for twelve years. Since her election to Westminster Council in 1998, she has been involved in many areas of the Council’s activity. Councillor Louise Hyams has served on both the Planning and Development Committee and the Licensing Committee and was, until she took office as Lord Mayor, Vice-Chairman of the Built Environment Overview and Scrutiny Committee.

She has taken a particular interest in Social Services and has chaired various committees and panels. She has also been a member of Westminster’s Adoption Panel which makes decisions about the City’s most disadvantaged children. Her political life takes up most of her time. When time allows she enjoys travelling and visiting the theatre and cinema. She has three grown up sons and, much to her delight, has recently become a grandmother.

Please note that for some of these, if payment is made before 1 March 2008, lower prices apply.
