JCI LONDON JUNIOR CHAMBER INTERNATIONAL
JCI London, a personal development organisation for young professionals with a focus on training, business, community and international relationships will hold their the annual JCI World Congress in November in Antalya, Turkey. The TBCCI will host a meeting on 24 October 2007 with JCI members who will join the JCI World Congress from London in November and the Office of Commercial Counsellor, Turkish Embassy London. 

CHAMBER EVENTS, ISTANBUL
TBCCI Members from Turkey Evening, Friday, 2 November 2007, Istanbul 
The TBCCI has organised an evening reception on Friday, 2 November 2007 in Istanbul to gather the Chamber members from Turkey, officials of the British Embassy, British Consulate and the British Chamber of Commerce of Turkey (BCCT) and other members of the Turkish-British community in Turkey. The British Ambassador to Turkey Nick Baird and the  British Consulate General, Barbara Hay have been confirmed as Guests of Honour at this evening. The venue will be the British Consulate General, Istanbul. Invitations have been sent to TBCCI members from Turkey.    

TBCCI Participation in the 15 International Food Exhibition, Istanbul 
TBCCI Food and Beverages sector members from UK will participate in the 15th International Food & Beverage, Food Ingredients and Food Processing Exhibition between 31.10-03.11 2007 in Istanbul. There will be a workshop for the Chamber members based in Turkey, Friday afternoon, 2 November 2007 in Istanbul. The workshop will include:

• TBCCI services in support of Company Matching, Business Partnership Search, Company Formation, Export Procedures Guidance, Company Credit Reports, Translation and Document services, Representation and Marketing.
• Members feedbacks and requests regarding above and other Chamber services

UK-TURKEY TRADE
In July 2007, the trade volume between the UK and Turkey increased by 21.7%. In the cumulative January-July period, the increase was 16.4%.

UK VISITORS TO TURKEY
The number of visitors from the UK to Turkey peaked in 2005. The year 2006 saw a small decline. In the 8 month period in 2007, from January to August, the number of UK visitors to Turkey reached the highest cumulative to date figure, exceeding the previous year’s and also improved on the so far highest year, 2005.
